#1 GENUSSWERKSTATT POTSDAM

Culture meets culinary. In 1685 the Great Friedrich Wilhelm had a riding stable built near his residence at  “Am alten Markt“. In one part of the former stable building you will nowadays find a beautiful restaurant. This location comes with a large open kitchen and a modern and cosy ambience. Rather than plenty of smaller single tables, you’ll find long wooden board tables to make yourself comfortable. Thats why it’t not uncommon that even strangers start to chat with each other during their meals. As for the food: Friends of Italian cuisine won’t be disappointed by the wide selection of tasty antipasti and delicious pasta dishes. Just as they won’t be either by the homemade Tiramisu!

#2 MY KENG

This is one of our alltime favorite dinner restaurants in Potsdam. This small, Cambodian restaurant is stylishly and comfortably furnished, with an open show kitchen at its heart. We can not only recommend the great Sushi and an incredibly delicious Chanh Da, but also the warm dishes. If you’re having a hard time choosing, go for number 122 on the menue! – Crispy duck, with fresh pineapple, mushrooms, coconut milk, cabbage, lemon grass, red curry, peanuts and herbs (curry hot). You’re welcome!

What could be nicer than sitting at a table with good friends, sharing a selection of the tastiest dishes on the menu? Laughing, talking and a glass of excellent rosé. For us, this scenario is pretty close to our idea of a perfect evening. Our favourite location for such hearty get-togethers is the Mea Culpa in Dortustraße. The rather spartan furnisched restaurant scores with ist welcoming Spanish flair and the best tapas in town!

#4 PETER PANE

The Peter Pane convinces with a modern and at the same time cosy ambience. Also a creative kitchen as well as delicious cocktails are adding to a perfect dinner expericence. You’ll find different options of burgers and salads on the menue, but no worries, the vegetarians and vegans among you get their money’s worth, too. Our all-time favourite dish is the “Feine Ziege“. It’s a burger with goat cheese, walnut kernels and fig chutney. Friday and Saturday evening you should bring a reservation with you to avoid long waiting times. Those who aren’t yet convinced, should know that the story of Peter Pan is playing on a loop in the bathroom.

Have you ever wondered what’s the favorite Italian of your favorite Italian? Well, this little restaurant must be at the top of the list. An inviting atmosphere with white tables and chequered tablecloths will take you right into a piccola Casa – small cottage – in the south of Europe. The menu at Zanotto’s is reduced to only three to four main courses, but the small selection leaves almost nothing to be desired in terms of taste and freshness. The service is very attentive and detail-oriented and will be happy to answer all your questions about preparation and ingredients.
